CSWS surpassed our $5,000 fundraising goal during Ducks Give, raising $5,360 from 39 gifts on the annual day of giving at the University of Oregon.
Donations to CSWS on May 14 unlocked two challenge gifts: $500 from Beate Galda, and $2,500 from Thomas Beaumont. Additional gifts can be viewed on our Ducks Give Donor Wall.
The Center thanks all our donors for their generous support for the next generation of cutting edge feminist research at the University of Oregon.
Gifts made to CSWS this year will fund our 2026 STEAM Summer Fellowships, which provide funding for undergraduate research on gender across the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and the Arts (STEAM).
The fellowship creates opportunities for STEAM-field undergraduates and faculty mentors to partner on cross-disciplinary summer research and creative projects with a focus on women and intersectional gender issues. These team-based fellowships are designed to fill a need for undergraduate research opportunities at the UO by linking creative work and scholarship to research in the sciences.
It's not too late to make a donation! Go to this UO Giving website, and under "Search Designation" select "Other" and type in "Center for the Study of Women in Society."
You can read about our 2025 STEAM Fellows in the CSWS Annual Review and watch videos about their projects. The 2026 STEAM Fellows will be announced in early June.
