The University of Oregon’s Center for the Study of Women in Society (CSWS) invites students, faculty, staff, alumni, community partners, and friends to its Fall Open House from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in the CSWS Jane Grant Room, Hendricks Hall 330.
The gathering will offer an opportunity to connect with the CSWS community, celebrate feminist scholarship and learn more about the center’s work advancing research and social change. All are welcome, whether they are longtime CSWS affiliates, new to the center, or simply interested in learning more about research on women, gender, and society.
For more than 50 years, CSWS has supported feminist scholarship at the University of Oregon. Its mission is to create, fund, share and support research that addresses the complexity of gender identities and inequalities. Through interdisciplinary research, funding opportunities, events, and collaborative initiatives, the Center brings people together to explore questions that shape women’s lives and society more broadly.
The Fall Open House reflects CSWS’s commitment to building a welcoming, connected community where ideas can be shared, relationships can grow, and collaboration can flourish across disciplines and beyond campus. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet others who share an interest in feminist research, discover ways to engage with CSWS, and celebrate the collective work of advancing knowledge and equity.
Whether you are looking to make new connections, find opportunities for collaboration, or learn how CSWS supports research and community engagement, the open house is an invitation to be part of the conversation.
