  • April 8 - RIG Info Session. Graduate students and faculty are invited to apply for up to $1,000 in funding to organize CSWS Research Interest Groups (RIGs) for the 2026-27 academic year. 
  • April 22 - Workshop with Salar Mameni. Salar Mameni, associate professor of ethnic studies at UC Berkeley, will be leading a graduate student reading group on the theme of "war and ecology."
  • April 22 - Salar Mameni: "Angel of Critique". Join Salar Mameni for a reflection on war, genocide, and the limits of critique. 
  • April 29 - Noon Talk with Joyce Wei-Jo Chen. “Cherchez la femme: Music by Baroque Women Composers.” 
  • May 13 - Noon Talk with Sanjula Rajat. “The Colonial Politics of Impurity: Anti-Trans Politics in India and the Consolidation of a Hindu Nation-State.” 
  • May 13 - Acker-Morgen Lecture: Durba Mitra. The 2026 Acker-Morgen speaker Durba Mitra will present a talk titled, "What If Gathering Together Liberated Us?"
  • May 27 - Noon Talk with Audrey Lucero. “‘I don’t know what I don’t know’: Female Teachers’ Discursive Uncertainty in Responding to Constraints on their Practice.” 
  • June 8 - CSWS End-of-year Celebration. This year, our annual CSWS end-of-year party is a celebration of our affiliates' accomplishments and our resilience as a community. Please join us!
