Drawing on concerts I have hosted this year with Collegium Musicum and my own studio teaching, I reflect on programming works by composers such as Barbara Strozzi, Isabella Leonarda, and Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre. The presentation takes the form of a short lecture-recital, with student performers joining me to demonstrate how historically informed performance and pedagogy can function as a form of research, inviting audiences to hear early music not as a closed canon, but as an evolving, inclusive practice."
