Kate Mondloch named interim dean and vice  provost of the Graduate School

October 31, 2019—Professor and CSWS faculty affiliate Kate Mondloch of the UO College of Design has been named interim dean and vice provost of the Graduate School. Currently, Mondloch is head of the College of Design’s history of art and architecture department. She has been at the UO since 2005.

Provost and Senior Vice President Patrick Phillips said Mondloch has a track record of experience with graduate program development and administration at UO, where she was founding director of the transdisciplinary graduate certificate in new media and culture from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, she served as director of graduate studies for six years. She starts in her new position on Nov. 12.

Mondloch's appointment comes in tandem with the appointment of Janet Woodruff-Borden, dean and vice provost of the UO Graduate School, as the new executive vice provost for academic affairs.
