In 2014-15, Professor Rand, Bates College, spent a sabbatical year in Eugene during the early years of her work on what is now her new book: The Small Book of Hip Checks: On Queer Gender, Race, and Writing. CSWS provided Erica with an office, mentorship, and the opportunity to present work that became the introduction. Join Erica for a reading from her book!
