Hee-Jung Serenity Joo

Hee-Jung Serenity Joo, at that time a PhD candidate in the University of Oregon Department of Comparative Literature, was awarded the 2005 Jane Grant Dissertation Fellowship by the Center for the Study of Women in Society. Her dissertation topic was “Speculative Fiction and the Spectacle of Race: The Nation as Utopian Be/longing in the 20th Century Asian-American and African-American Futurist Narratives.”

In 2014, Hee-Jung Serenity Joo, PhD, is an Assistant Professor, Faculty of Arts: English, Film, and Theatre, at the University of Manitoba.
