Save the date for this year’s Derrick Bell Lecture, Tuesday, February 19, 12-1:15 pm, Room 110, Knight Law Center. Professor Cheryl Harris will deliver a lecture titled “Affirmative Action Chronicles: From the Era of Colorblindness to White Nationalism.”

Professor Harris is the Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation Chair in Civil Rights and Civil Liberties at the UCLA School of Law.  She has lectured widely on issues of race and equality and has produced groundbreaking scholarship in the field of Critical Race Theory.   

This year’s lecture is presented in partnership with the UO African American Workshop and Lecture Series sponsored by the President’s Office and facilitated by the Division of Equity and Inclusion and the University of Oregon School of Law.
