Wired RIG

The Wired RIG, a research interest group of the Center for the Study of Women in Society (CSWS) at the University of Oregon, is focused on exploring and applying innovations in digital technology, including web-based technologies, to research on women in the humanities and humanities-oreinted social sciences.

Members of the Wired RIG served as the advisory board of the Wired Humanities Project (a jointly funded project of The College of Arts and Sciences and the Feminist Humanities Project of CSWS).

Plans for the coming year include reviving and further developing the Wired RIG by hosting an internal-external speaker series that will appeal to a broad array of UO faculty and graduate students; provide consultation and design support to technology related aspects of collaborative research projects on women and gender at the UO with priority given to CSWS Initiatives and RIGs; and to seek, and to assist other CSWS RIGs in seeking, external support for technology related research projects.
