Reina Vásquez

Youth Program Assistant, Amigos, Juventud FACETA, Eugene

Reina Vasquez has been part of JF for five years. She is one of the most active members. She has multiple responsibilities in life. She has held two or three jobs at the same time plus going to school, takes part in the group activities, along with her family and personal obligations. She has done many class presentations and has organized and delivered many workshops about “Know your Rights”—on immigrant rights. She moved from being a group member in Juventud FACETA to the position of group coordinator in training. She has represented the group in the Trauma Healing Project and has become a board member of that body. She is a dedicated mother, a student in Land Community College’s Transitions program, a loyal friend, a faithful daughter, and a hard worker with many aspirations in life. Her laugh makes others feel good.
