Jonathan Fox

Jonathan Fox teaches in the Department of Latin American and Latino Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz (www.lals.ucsc.edu). He served as an advisor to the Mexico-US Diálogos Project (1988-1998), which led to Cross-Border Dialogues: US-Mexico Social Movement Networking (co-edited, 2002). Collaboration with World Bank advocacy campaigns led to The Struggle for Accountability: The World Bank, NGOs and Grassroots Movements (co-edited, 1998) and Demanding Accountability: Civil Society Claims and the World Bank Inspection anel (co-edited, 2003). Work with the Binational Front of Indigenous Organizations (FIOB) included Indigenous Mexican Migrants in the United States (co-edited, 2004). Collaboration with Mexican watchdog groups led to Mexico’s Right-to-Know Reforms: Civil Society Perspectives (co-edited, 2007). His most recent book is Accountability Politics: Power and Voice in Rural Mexico (2007).
