This two-day symposium, March 8-9, 2012, focuses on human rights and capitalism. Issues will include how to measure economic progress, human rights and the economy, women’s unpaid labor, the care crisis, and women and development. Part of the Lorwin Lectureship on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, which is funded by a gift from Val and Madge Lorwin to the University of Oregon College of Arts and Sciences and School of Law.
